#what #a #whirlwind am I right guys? Part of me is happy that the election is so close to being over because well, just turn on your TV. But another, equally as big, part of me is worried. Very, hugely, bigly worried. Because each day that brings us closer to a potential Clinton presidency also brings us closer to a potential Trump presidency. Less than a week ago, things were going well for Hill. I had hope that the country was collectively accepting the idea of having a lady prez - and we were going to make. it. happen. But as has become custom in 2016, no week shall passeth without a madness inducing scandal.
Since trying to find reason in the Trump phenomenon is a big task to take on in 500 words or less, I'm deeming it a lost cause for this post. But here are some of the scenarios I think about when my imagination wanders about what life is going to be like post November 8th.
1. Problem: Seeing family and friends during the holidays who voted for Trump and made it clear to everyone they're friends with on Facebook that they did it.
Solution: Subtlety, but effectively, let them know that you know that they done did it. Perhaps the confrontation will come in the form of a handwritten card, written in flawless cursive.
2. Problem: Running into the person who deleted you on Facebook because they disagreed with the respectful posts you made in support of BLM, one of which was coincidentally (but ALSO NOT AT ALL) anti-Trump.
Solution: Tell them you want to invite them to an event for your birthday party on FB. Acting like you didn't realize they unfriended you is key. Proceed to go on FB, type in their name, and say, "Wait why aren't we friends?" This is similar to what happens when people lie about having a gluten allergy.
3. Random thought: what was the Trump campaign's budget for hiring a graphic designer to make his logo and those stupid fucking hats? There's no excuse for such poor visual branding in 2016. It actually makes me mad when I see his campaign signs on bumper stickers and lawn signs because of how little effort went into making them. It's like he put this campaign together overnight or something.
:)))))))
